Problems & Difficulties of Subliminal TapesREVEALED!

First of all, if you’ve never heard of Subliminals/subliminal messages, here’s a quick definition: Subliminals are messages, like affirmations (e.g. “I have self-confidence”), recorded at sub-threshold level of awareness, consciousness (conscious perception) and the smallest detectable human sensation.

The effectiveness of subliminals and subliminal recordings has not been proven conclusively to this day. Yet, there are thousands and thousands of searches on the net for the words “subliminal” and “subliminal tapes” every single month.

Consumers continue to spend millions of dollars each year on subliminal self-help and self-improvement products, driven by some of the best influential and effective advertising and marketing campaigns by different competing seller companies, both online and offline.

The fact is that there are many uncertainties, problems and difficulties related to subliminal recordings.

Let’s consider some of them, shall we?

Let’s say you purchase a subliminal tape from the internet for US $29.95.

You need to know for sure the answers to the following questions:

Question #1 How can you know for sure that the subliminal tape really does have the subliminal messages that you want, recorded on it? After all, you can’t hear the messages, can you? They are subliminal!

Question #2 What affirmations are really recorded on the subliminal tape that you bought?  How many people will actually go to any length of trouble to know what messages are really recorded on their subliminal tapes? Many companies don’t and won’t provide you with the list of affirmations recorded on the tapes they sell you. Even if they do, do you have 100% trust in what they provide you with?

Question #3 How can you know for sure that the subliminal tape has any subliminal messages recorded on it? What if the messages were accidentally not recorded? What if it’s totally blank?

Question #4 What if the tape and/or the messages are defective?

Question #5 What if some accidental damage happened to the tape and an affirmation like “I do not need to smoke” became “I doneed to smoke”!
What if the word “not” accidentally got dropped or erased from an affirmation like “I do not love junk food”.

Question #6 Ok, let’s say you can hear some whispering. So there are subliminal recordings on the tape. How do you know they are within the allegedly effective audible range? How do you know they are within your effective audible range?

Question #7 By the way, what happens when the tape starts wearing out? What effect will this have on the recorded messages?

All this, not to mention any possible problems with your tape player (Not properly cleaned? Worn out? cheap?), which might fail to “deliver” the subliminal messages to your ears, let alone your mind.

Bottom line, there are far too many uncertainties, doubts and concerns.

Ok! You're right! Give me something that works!

Question: Given all the above, how do you know the subliminal tape is really going to be effective?

Answer: The only way to know for sure is to keep listening to the tape for a long period of time and to wait and see if you experience any changes and improvements. Of course, in this situation you might experience nothing more than the Placebo effect.

The what?

What is the Placebo Effect?

A man has stomachache and goes to a doctor who examines him and concludes that there is absolutely nothing wrong with him. It’s just a little tension and an upset stomach. Nothing serious; nothing to signify. The man insists on wanting to take medicine to help ease the pain.

So, the doctor gives him “the magic pill”, which is nothing more than a sugar pill (placebo). The man believes that this pill is real medicine and after taking it for a day he actually does begin to feel better!

You see his belief in this pill actually made him feel better. This is the placebo effect.

It is natural for some people to claim that they benefited from subliminal tapes only to ‘take back’ what they claimed some time later.

<WHY?>

What’s the reason?

People like to be right and don’t like to be wrong or mistaken about any judgment they make, especially a purchase judgment.

When a person buys a subliminal tape he does so with the belief and hope that it will bring about the desired change in his life. So, what happens is that this person’s belief brings about this temporary change.  He will experience the placebo effect.  When the effect is gone, the “pain” will return and he will be forced to admit that it was a bad decision.

The question is: How long are you going to wait and be patient with subliminal tapes/CDs before you quit playing them and dump them?

Subliminal tapes and CDs are not selling cheap. You can expect to pay an average selling price of $20 per single tape/CD.
